African Percussion

This is a list of Newcastle Drum Centre’s extensive range of African Percussion. For instruments from other countries, select the World Percussion page from the drop-down menu. If what you want isn't here, contact us and we will do our best to get it.

We supply all brands of Djembe drums, including Kambala Professional, Kambala Bassam, Buccarra, Toca, Novina and Java which can be made from lightweight or heavy wood or fiberglass.

We supply all African instruments including djembe, doum doum or djun djun, bougarabou, ghana bells, talking drum, shekere, caxixi, balaphon and much more.

From hand to ear and from ear to hand this tutorial method offers an apprenticeship in 6 polyrhythms. The presentation, first analysed, then played as a whole, enables you to work on your own first and then on to group playing.
