Danny's Diary Blog - The Alcatraz Festival

If you have read my previous blog post you'll know that I've been busy playing various festivals and I thought I'd update you with what I've been doing lately!

The Alcatraz Festival - 8-9 August 2015

Before start talking about my cymbal set-up, I'll start by getting you familiar with the amazing festival I've just played in Belgium, Alcatraz Festival! The Alcatraz Festival has been out there since 2008, so this year was its 8th edition and it was a great experience playing it with Venom. Alcatraz Festival is exclusively dedicated to Hard Rock and Metal Genre and it gathers some of the greatest names of these genres on the same stage for two days of quality music. This year's lineup included: Nightwish, Powerwolf, Death Angel, Carcass, Trivium and a lot more.

We played on Sunday, 9th of August and as you can see by Tim Tronckoe's photos, it was an amazing event with a huge crowd!

You'll probably have spotted some of my Paiste cymbals the photos. Paiste produce some of my favourite cymbals of all time and they always see me though my live 'on stage' performances. My current cymbal set-up includes a Paiste 18" Power Crash, Paiste Reflector 18" Crash, Paiste 22" Rude Novo China Cymbal and Paiste Reflector 22" China.
