Practice kits are designed to look and feel like a real drum kit but without the sound. Usually on a frame or rack, these kits have 5 pads (bass, snare & 3 toms) and are usually around 8" in diameter. They generally do not come with hardware as standard as most players employ the stands from their existing drum kit.

The traveler is a very compact 5 drum performance kit with a difference.

It is supplied with Pearl's silent muffle heads. These mesh heads are fitted to the drums in place of the live heads and, along with rubber cymbal pads, transform the kit for silent practice purposes.

These kits, fitted with the mesh heads have also proved extremely popular for drummers wishing to trigger their kits.

The kit comes with all hardware pictured as well as a set of live cymbals.
