Roland have designed this CY-18DR ride cymbal pad to play along with the popular Roland TD-50 sound module. The 18" diameter is in the style of an acoustic cymbal to provide a real feel and an authentic swing motion. Featuring a high resolution, multi sensor system that detects every degree of hard and soft touches in ever position from the edge to the bell and communicates it to the TD-50 module. This CY-18DR supports techniques such as cymbal legato, soft bell strokes and cymbal chokes. You can simply touch the bell or bow with your finger or palm to mute the sound just like an acoustic cymbal.
