Hi, I'm Thea and this is my first blog on the website :)
This is actually my first week at the DrumShop and I'm loving it! I'm finding learning about the different types of cymbals and their features really interesting and I can't believe how much I've learned already. I didn't know how much I had learnt until I was writing the descriptions for the Zildjian cymbals and realised that I actually, kind of, knew what I was talking about!
I did a little research on Zildjian cymbals and it was quite interesting to find out about the different types of cymbals. Zildjian is an American cymbal manufacturer based in Massachusetts. It was founded in the 17th century and is almost 400 years old!
This week I have been busy adding the ZHT and A Custom series' onto the website. So far we have 42 Zildjian Cymbals online right now to choose from however I will be adding some more very soon!
My favourite from the ZHT Series is the "ZILDJIAN 14" ZHT HI HAT PAIR CYMBALS". I love the sound that Hi Hats make and this one in particular has a fab projection because of the heavy bottom. It has a mid to high pitch which helps it give off quite a nice sound plus its a great feature as it blends nicely with lots of different music styles.
From the A Custom Series, I like the "ZILDJIAN 6" A CUSTOM SPLASH BRILLIANT CYMBAL" as it creates a bright, crash sound which I think sounds really good. The mid to high pitch blends well with the soft volume and its also very musical which just makes it sound lovely.
